Disadvantages: they can get damaged easily, they can get stolen, and they can be copied easily

if you want to help keep them from being copied you can get programs that will prevent that and there are was to find it if someone steals itWhat are the advantages and disadvantages of a flash drive?
Flash drives are great! The are devices that come in handy because of their size. Well... the advantage of using a flash drive is you get the maximum storage capacity you want that can be carried as a key chain. That's it! Its sort of a small thing with a big brain. What are the advantages and disadvantages of a flash drive?
cheap, portability.

About a year ago there was the student who lost her masters thesis on her flash drive, took her the whole weekend to find the flash drive in a large dumpster
Really none if you think about it unless you have no USB in front of computer
The advantages are portability and storage space. I can't think of a disadvantage.
It's awesome. Saved me lots of time when I can work on an assignment at school. You can get them fairly cheap also.

The worst thing is that I forget it!
They have far more advantages than disadvantages. They're portable, easy to use, and hold high capacity. The only real down side is that they can be a little fragile. Just make sure you tell the system to turn the device off before you unplug it if you plan on removing it before you turn your system off. I burned two flash drives by removing them without turning them off.
