Since Linux can write to an NTFS partition, if you saved downloads you did in Linux to your Windows partition, it would be the same as using Windows to do it. How the files get there doesn't matter. If you turned the drive off and the flash drive was the only drive in the computer, all you could ruin was the Linux installation on the flash drive. (That's why Freesco is virus-proof - as long as you have a back-up floppy. When using Adobe Flash CS3, how do you assign a stop action for the pages?
When I go to preview my flash website, all the pages show one after another without stop. Is this because I have them all on keyframes? How do I make it so that my pages only show up when they are selected by the options on my navigation bar?

If you are indoor, you can usually get by with one trigger and one receiver if the rest of your strobes have an optical slave (most monolights have that built in - if you are using speedlights for stobes, most require you to get an external optical slave (I think some of the Nikons may have them built in). An optical slave senses another flash going off, and triggers the flash it is connected to.
If the strobe doesn't have an optical slave, you need a receiver for each light.

Technically, yes, the flash will fire. That's about the only ';function'; that will work on the flash. Everything else will be pretty much full manual. You'll lose the E-TTL flash exposure system, which can calculate flash power based on distance (E-TTL 2 does this), so you'll be manually adjusting power on the flash- a lot of your photos will be guesswork.
Also, if something goes wrong and your camera gets fried, Canon will point at Vivitar and claim their hardware caused it and may refuse to service your camera as a result. Is there something pushing you towards the 728 that you wouldn't get with the 430EX or 580 EX II? IMO you will be happier with the Canon flash designed for your camera. Buy the top of the line they offer for your XTi and you'll never be disappointed. In the 36 years I've enjoyed photography I've found its better to have a feature and not need it than to need it and not have it. You should also buy the off-camera flash bracket Canon offers and the cables (if any) needed to connect the flash to the camera. You will now have a completely compatible system which you're unlikely to ever outgrow.

This is for a high school project and i'm desperate for some help. I've made the bouncing ball but i don't know how to attach the tail besides drawing it frame by frame. It wouldn't be so hard, except the ball is coming towards you at an angle.

yes, it is very much possible. corrupted data on a flash drive is created by not safely ejecting it from your computer. when you (or your friend, in this matter) are ready to take your flash drive out of the computer, simply click the little icon (on the taskbar, near your clock) that looks like a little green arrow over a silver bar once. then, a pop-up bar will appear. it should say: ';safely remove 'USB mass storage device'. click that, and it should then say: 'USB mass storage device can now be safely ejected'. you can now carefully pull your flash drive out of the computer.
however, some brands of flash drive have speacial ways of ejecting. if there is a program that comes up every time you put your flash drive in, odds are, it should be ejected a different way. if you have a flash drive like this: find the icon on your taskbar

How do you back up your iTunes library onto a flash drive so I can move it to another computer?
Easy.
1.Open up iTunes and click Advanced/Consolidate Library and click yes when the conformation screen comes up.
2. Go to your iTunes folder (usually in My Documents/My Music
3. Drag your iTunes folder onto your flash drive.
All done.

Why don't flash games work on my laptop ?
I have a new Samsung laptop that runs windows vista and has the latest software. When i try to play some flash games sometimes it will say ';internet explorer has stopped working'; or the games graphics will be all mucked up and unable to play properly. I have tried on Firefox as well and it is still the same. It is strange because my old Dell laptop from 2004 can play these games.Why don't flash games work on my laptop ?

An antivirus can't be ';installed'; per say on a USB drive. WinClam AV is a terrible anti-virus by the way, and it is used to scan the COMPUTER from the USB drive, not defend the USB drive. Ok i need a linux os that i can boot on my computer from my flash drive. I need one that can connect to my dsl on my downstairs comp through a linksys wireless adapter. Is it possible to corrupt other drives with a corrupted flash drive?
I had experienced some trouble with a Mac. As you may know flash drives can be removed from p.c's without having to eject the usb drive. However, this is not the case with Macs. My flash drive got corrupted and I need to know if the corruption will only effect that flash drive or will it transfer when I transfer the files to a new USB drive.Is it possible to corrupt other drives with a corrupted flash drive?

Flash and HTML don't really have a lot to do with each other. You'll need to know a little bit of HTML to embed you movies on a web page, but when you publish your movie in Flash it actually will create the page for you.

Hi! You will ned to know a bit about HTML as you will need to embed your Flash movie into your page. If you are really serious about web design then a good knowledge of HTML is highly recommended.
ActionScript, as I am sure you know, is an integral part of Flash and you will find it a lot to get your head around, but before you enrol in any classes download a trial version of Flash and have a play about. I really would learn some HTML before I jumped into Flash as it is a more logical progression.
Flash and HTML don't really have a lot to do with each other. You'll need to know a little bit of HTML to embed you movies on a web page, but when you publish your movie in Flash it actually will create the page for you.

Are the Flash Cards and the Final Review CD Useful in the Becker CPA Review?
Hi Guys, I'm enrolling in the Becker CPA Review. The cost of the Review is covered by my Company but not add-ons like the flash cards and the final review CD. I am doing self study CD. Do you think it would be a good idea to purchase the flash cards and the final review CD as well? They are kind of pricey for a poor student especially the final review, but I willing to buy if they are actually useful.Are the Flash Cards and the Final Review CD Useful in the Becker CPA Review?
I took Becker live courses. The CD's you get will be exactly the same as the CD's we watched in class. You will also get the same books and passmaster software as we got in class. All that is more than enough to pass the exam! If you study what they tell you to study in the lectures, do the ';required homework'; (really no need to do the ';supplemental HW';), all the sims, and at take at least one of the practice exams, you will be golden. Do not waste money on the final review CD.
I also bought the flashcards. They really aren't that great. I had to write all over the Becker flashcards I used b/c many of them did not make sense. I even set some of Becker's FC's aside - they were useless. I made MANY MANY flashcards of my own while studying - I think you learn a lot better if you make your own. Just the act of writing the info down will make it stick :)

Simply stick to the Becker program, do the homework, and put in the study time and you should be fine. By the way, there is no difference between the live class and the CDs. All we did at the live classes was watch the CDs!

I bought the flash drive about 6 month ago and i put the password on it. But i forgot the password I think after 3rd try it lock the drive. So in order to unlock I have erase all the data. I hope you get your password. This happened to me too, but six months later, after rememberign the password was based on the name of a long-lost crush, I remembered it in a stroke of luck and feel very lucky! Six months and it was still in the back of my mind!
Talk to the manufacturer and provide proof that you purchased the flash drive and you set up the password. He just might have a method to give it away.I have Flash Drive called U3 Ulead Drive I need to unlock it without erasing data?
I am not too sure if you will be able to, because the password was put there to protect the data.
Have you tried hard on the password? Birthday, certain events, family names, etc...? Did you use any capital letters because it may also be the reason why the password wont work.
